Oasis Women's Counseling Center, a nonprofit organization and a United Way partner, supports the emotional well-being of women and children in the Birmingham, Alabama, metropolitan area including the counties of Jefferson, Shelby, Blount, St. Clair and Walker. A provider of mental health services and educational programs since 1995, Oasis' history centers on a compassionate commitment to the community. Oasis provides high-quality, affordable, mental health counseling to women who do not have adequate resources to obtain care from private practitioners. Oasis fills a critical gap in care for these women with limited incomes who could not otherwise afford vital mental health services.
